St. Mary’s Nutrition Center staff receive a $1,000 donation from S and J Enterprises LLC to be divided evenly between the Summer Youth Gardening Program and St. Mary’s Food Pantry. Nutrition Center programs provide the tools for participants to find affordable and low-barrier ways to access and cook healthy foods, distribute emergency unprepared food through the Food Pantry, provide education and leadership opportunities for children and youth and promote local food through urban food production, neighborhood access points, farmers’ markets and mobile market.
