- Auburn firefighter Pvt. Tom Dennison carries an attack line over a small brook at Pettengill Park in Auburn Friday afternoon to extinguish a fire of suspicious origin on a trail frequented by “youths,” according to a neighbor, who did not want to be identified. The woman was working in her garden when she became curious after smelling smoke. Just over the embankment she spotted the fire and called 911.
