Jack Rosenberg
SOUTH PARIS – Jack Rosenberg of South Paris passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at the age of 95. He was born Aug. 31, 1923, to Jack and Lena (Paakkonen) Rosenberg. Jack married Janice (Corbett) Haverinen in 1964 and helped her raise his good friend’s three children. They shared more than 50 years together. A man of deep faith, Jack was a member of the Mission Congregational Church for most of his life, serving his church in many different roles. Jack made his living as a logger and was in business for many years with his brother, Eino. He loved working in the woods and cutting trees.Jack was predeceased by his parents; wife, Janice; brothers, Francis and Eino Rosenberg and Ellis Kilponen; sisters, Lempi, Katri, Siiri, and Hilja Rosenberg; stepdaughter, Sharon Gibson; grandson, Mark Daniel; and nephew, Bruce Rosenberg. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Raasumaa (Tarmo); stepchildren, Daniel Haverinen (Julie), Mary Wall (Douglas); grandchildren Samuel Haverinen (Michelle), Jesse Wall (Rebecca), Cody Wall (Kelly), Matt Daniel, Georgia Gibson-Pruiksma (Jon); great-grandchildren, Novelle, Everly, Olive, and Henry Wall, Luc and Ian Daniel, Elizabeth, Anne-Marie, and Jameson Pruiksma; sisters-in-law, Melva Simmons and Leone Callina (John); and many nieces and nephews.A service will be held on Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m., at the Mission Congregational Church in West Paris.
