: A candle-lit procession led by Lana Whittemore, left, and Victoria Williams, right, staff members of the Abused Women’s Advocacy Project, makes its way from Festival Plaza in Auburn to Raymond Park in Lewiston during the annual Domestic Violence Memorial Vigil on Friday. More than 3 dozen people attended the vigil to raise awareness of domestic violence. Androscoggin County Sheriff Guy Desjardins and District Attorney Norm Croteau spoke about the challenges of dealing with violence and its effects are not just the victims, but children, families and the community.
