A Sabattus man was in critical condition Monday night, two days after his car struck a moose on the Maine Turnpike.
Keith Hanson, 50, was driving north in York around 7 p.m. Saturday when the moose crashed through his windshield, according to Cpl. Jerry Carr of the Maine State Police.
Hanson was severely injured, police said. He was removed to Maine Medical Center.
Hanson’s wife and daughter were also in the car at the time of the accident. According to the Portland Press Herald, Hanson’s wife, Lori, suffered injuries to her face and hands, but the couple’s 7-year-old daughter was not hurt.
