The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath will present a virtual concert from celebrated guitarist Frank Vignola at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 3, on the center’s Facebook page.
Vignola is one of the most celebrated jazz, classical, and pop guitarists performing today. His stunning virtuosity has made him the guitarist of choice for many of the world’s top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Tommy Emmanuel, Lionel Hampton, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, according to a news release from the center.
The guitarist also is one of the most popular and sought-after players on the international music scene. His dynamic, genre-spanning music has brought him to 21 countries, where he has performed in some of the world’s most illustrious venues, including the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, New York’s Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, and the world’s oldest indoor concert hall, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Italy.
Vignola has recorded over 30 albums as a band leader and has been a guest on hundreds of recordings. A talented teacher, he is the author of many educational music books, as well as two instructional DVD’s for Mel Bay Publications. His online one-on-one private lessons and online Jazz Studio have reached thousands of jazz guitar enthusiasts throughout the globe.
The show will be free to watch, and audience members will be asked to consider donating to support CCAC.
