We had several dozen correct entries for last week’s Mystery Photo of The Maine Bookhouse on Main Street (Route 26) in Oxford. Our winner, Daniel Dube of Lewiston, also knew that it was formerly Shoestring Books. Others pointed out that the store’s interior is wall-to-wall books, vintage vinyl records and unique items. Some said they often visit not only to buy things but to pick the brains of the “extremely knowledgeable man and his daughter” who own the business now. Dube, who was chosen in a random drawing from all the correct entrants, will receive a $20 Hannaford Supermarket gift card.
