For those of you who attend the Rowe School in Norway, this is the building that once stood on the same spot. It was built in 1894 and torn down in the 1980s to build the new part of the school you now attend. If your parents or grandparents grew up in Norway, they will recognize this picture and most likely, went to elementary school in the Yellow Building. Probably the only thing you will recognize in this photo is the granite wall next to Main Street. Note the fire escape on the right side of the building. If students were on the third floor during a fire drill, they had to come down that fire escape. Doing that was fun for some and scary for others. What do you think?
