Darby Ray: Lewiston council should preserve library’s budget, hours
I recently learned that the Lewiston City Council is considering cutting the budget and hours of our amazing public library. The Lewiston Public Library is arguably the most important cultural, educational and civic institution in our community. It is a vibrant place of inquiry, research, innovation and learning for all. Froma Harrop: Do you worry that your bank is too liberal?
Should I worry that my bank is too woke, whatever anyone means by “woke” these days? Cal Thomas: Politics then and now
Kindness and praise for one’s political opponent can affect others, especially voters. As Abraham Lincoln said about the South: “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.”
