Froma Harrop: We can now call economic terrorists ‘economic terrorists’
People who threaten to blow up an airplane if their political demands aren’t met are political terrorists. People who threaten to blow up the economy if their demands aren’t met are economic terrorists. Let’s not be shy about calling them such.

Rich Lowry: Republicans can’t be intermittent fiscal hawks
It’s very strange not to seriously pursue a deeply held goal when you have unified control of Washington, then to insist on trying to achieve much of it in one fell swoop when you barely have control of one chamber of Congress.

Paul Bernard: Remembering Tet Offensive, 55 years later
On Jan. 30, 1968, the Tet Offensive began and lasted 30 days. His consistent reminder of what we could do to minimize […]

Susan Dorman: U.S. legislators need to be good taxation stewards
For justice, let’s ask U.S. legislators to be good stewards of taxation. I’ve been reading about what Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell calls “the Orwellian name of ‘Family And Small Business Tax Payer Protection Act.’” (“First order of business for the GOP House? Defunding the (tax) police,” Sun Journal, Jan. 11). Apparently the labyrinth of […]
