Pam Harnden, of Wilton, has been a staff writer for The Franklin Journal since 2012. Since 2015, she has also written for the Livermore Falls Advertiser and Sun Journal. She covers Livermore and Regional School Unit 73 school board meetings. She writes about people and community events in the greater Franklin County area and is the go-to person for school robotics competitions. Pam is a member of the Old Crow Indian Band and a supervisor for the Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District. She enjoys cooking, gardening, flower arranging, reading, music and spending time with her grandchildren. Pam has a bachelor's degree from the University of Maine at Orono and has been involved personally and professionally with numerous agricultural endeavors.

Livermore Dog Control Ordinance asked to be changed
Resident Theresa Sol is seeking three changes to the barking dog section of the ordinance. Animal Control Officer Richard Burton said the Sol’s complaints about barking dogs have been unsubstantiated.

Local robotics teams qualify for New England District Championship
Knights of Katahdin, a rookie team from Wilton, and Blue Crew, a team with students and mentors from Farmington and Jay schools, are among the 90 FIRST Robotics Competition teams that qualified for the New England District Championship being held April 5-8 in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Principal dresses as leprechaun after students meet fundraising goal

Farmington sewer rates to increase, first time since 2018
Selectmen approved a rate of $48 for a minimum of 500 cubic feet per quarter and $9.60 per 100 cubic feet thereafter, a 20.3% increase over last year’s rates of $39.90 for a minimum of 500 cubic feet per quarter and $7.98 per 100 cubic feet thereafter.
