Cal Thomas: Propaganda, American style

Leonard Pitts Jr.: Right wing creates God in its own image
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s misapplication of the faith she claims to uphold ought not surprise anyone. The Bible says God created mankind “in his own image.” But many alleged conservatives invert that. They create the deity in their image, a God who thinks and acts like them, who bears their limitations and biases, their solipsism and illogicality, their mendacity and abiding fear.

Froma Harrop: DeSantis, don’t waste your charm on us
When Disney objected to his "Don't say gay" bill, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis punished the company in a flamboyantly stupid way — by shooting his own taxpayers in the foot. He stripped Disney World of its self-governing status. Not only had that been what brought the massive development to Orlando in the first place, but the deal also had Disney picking up lots of the bills normally covered by local taxes — to the tune of $163 million a year.
