Photo Album: Bethel man killed at Pearl Harbor laid to rest nearly 82 years later at Augusta cemetery
The remains of Ensign Stanley Willis Allen, who was born in Bethel and lived in Brunswick, who was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, was buried with full military honors on Tuesday at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. FBI investigation involving traffic stop draws large police response to Augusta gas station
Augusta police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near MD's Market at 240 Riverside Drive, and both the vehicle and its occupants were then turned over "to our federal counterparts," according to Kevin Lully, deputy chief of Augusta Police.
