Merrie Lee Butters Ojeda will be remembered in a celebration of her life at Telstar High School on Saturday, May 14. The event, which will include readings, sharing memories and a slide show of her life and loves, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Project Graduation 2022
According to DHHS, "all school-related functions are supposed to be chemical-free, but what makes Project Graduation different is the attitude of the students. They have made a conscious decision to enjoy their graduation night without alcohol or other drugs. And no other group, including parents and school personnel, can make that decision for students."

Time out for pickleball: Residents note lack of recreation space in town
Lucy Abbott, a member of the Rec Committee as well as Rotary, which helped support the construction of the courts, said the department is looking at activities for everybody in Bethel. “I know people don’t want to restrict times," she said, “but if you have an activity with a lot of people you need to set a time so people can schedule."
