Oakland and New York men indicted on drug trafficking charges after motel bust
Eric Caswell, 41, of Oakland and Tarik Squire, 37, of Bronx, New York, were arrested Jan. 2 by Augusta police and Maine Drug Enforcement agents, who were waiting for them at the Super 8 motel in Augusta.

Girl, 4, and man injured in Dresden automobile accident
Police said a 2012 Mitsubishi driven by Kassandra Gammon, 27, of Augusta, hit a 2017 Nissan driven by Alan Hewitt, 30, of Wiscasset, on Cedar Grove Road.

Norridgewock man indicted on manslaughter charges in 2019 crash
Police: David "Mike" Obert, 51, was driving on Ward Hill Road in Madison on the morning of July 4, 2019, when his dump truck collided with a Pontiac Torrent driven by Joyce Gipson, 85, killing her and her husband, Keith Blackwell, 80.

Teen partially ejected, pinned when car rolls in Norridgewock, police say
Chloe Riportella, 17, of Sidney was riding in the back seat of a 2003 Toyota Camry when it rolled Sunday afternoon on Winding Hill Road. She suffered what police described as minor injuries, none related to her having been pinned under the car.

Fire in Skowhegan destroys mobile home, kills five animals
