Former Maineiacs goalie Bernier retires after playing more than a decade in the NHL
Longtime NHL goaltender Jonathan Bernier has deiced to retire. He spent four seasons with the Lewiston Maineiacs before making his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings in 2007.

Lewiston native and Auburn city worker Marc Gosselin serves as Maine Mariners backup goalie
Gosselin, who started in Lewiston's 1995 Class A state championship win over Cony, quickly answered the Mariners' call Friday afternoon and suited up for the ECHL team a few hours later.
