State reduces scope of ‘do not eat’ advisory in Fairfield area for wildlife due to ‘forever chemical’ contamination
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife warned people in 2021 not to eat deer and other game found in a 125-square-mile area of central Maine, but the agency announced Monday it has reduced that area to 25 square miles, while also advising people not consume turkey harvested there.
