Junior hockey: Twin City to take part in USPHL event in Tampa
The USPHL has created a "Hub City" as it tries to make up a backlog of games affected by the pandemic. Each team will play 20 games in 45-day span beginning in January and ending in the middle of February.

Junior hockey still in limbo after Thursday’s announcement to halt games
Governor Janet Mills, along with governors from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont support a regional approach to stop interstate competitions among youth and school hockey teams. Maine DHHS says junior hockey is a part of this announcement, but leagues and Maine teams still want more clarity.

Junior hockey notes: Nordiques road game postponed, still planning to play later this week
For the second straight week a Nordiques game against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks is called off. Maine still planning to play the Northeast Generals on Thursday and Friday, but a Twin City Thunder game Friday is in doubt.

Twin City Thunder play on, defeat Jr. Monarchs
Junior hockey: The Twin City Thunder decided to play Saturday, a day after Maine DHHS told club and youth sports to shut down for the next month. Alex Rivet and Noah Furman each had a goal and an assist in the win for the Thunder.

Junior hockey notes: Nordiques postponed for second time in week
This weekend's home games against the Maryland Black Bears have been postponed. Nordiques defenseman named defenseman of the month while the New Jersey Titans make roster moves involving two former Twin City Thunder players.

Junior hockey notes: Maine Nordiques game against Danbury postponed
The game was postponed because of COVID-19 related issues. The Twin City Thunder had their first player on this year's roster make a college commitment and bring in a Division I committed player.
