LEWISTON  — The Bread Shack is closing its Auburn and Lewiston locations.

Today marks the last day for both. They will close at 2 p.m.

Owner Dara Reimers said this winter’s bad weather hurt business so badly that she couldn’t recover.

The Bread Shack sells homemade bread, pastries and sandwiches. Reimers, an award-winning pastry chef, opened her first location in Auburn about five years ago. She opened her second location on Lisbon Street in Lewiston last fall.

The Bread Shack has eight employees.

The Auburn location will hold a sale Saturday to sell its remaining baked goods.
