NORWAY — The Norway Planning Board has voted unanimously to accept an application for a fusion cuisine restaurant at the former C&C Meats building at 495 Main St.
Planning Board Chairman Dennis Gray said that Deivid Miranda Da Silva brought his completed application before the board Thursday evening and answered questions from residents during a public hearing.
“After that, we went through and did a review of performance standards for his application,” Gray said, “and when we determined he had completed everything, we voted to approve the application.”
Gray said that Da Silva will likely have to go before the Board of Selectmen moving forward to get a liquor license or other types of licenses, if he needs them.
The restaurant currently has no name, Gray said.
In other matters, Gray said Tim Knowles, a pastor at Moss Brook Church, had a pre-application meeting with the board about moving the church to the former Grover Gundrilling building at 10 Aldrich Ave.
Gray said the church currently meets at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
