FARMINGTON — Winners in the various categories for the 10th Annual Farmington Earth Day Volunteer Cleanup have been announced.
Volunteers from Franklin Savings Bank were named happiest cleanup volunteers. They received a Twice Sold Tales gift certificate, book and book bag.
Winning the oddest litter prize were the Earth Day Angels led by grandmother Mary Cornelio. Their prize was a stuffed cat from Minikins.
Named most adventurous volunteers were the DeCastro’s, led by mom Jessica DeCastro. They won an Orange Cat gift certificate and mug.
Winning the prize for most litter collected by a group were Amy and Dan Palmer’s team. They were awarded a Devaney Doak and Garrett Booksellers gift certificate.
Macie Staples won the award for most litter collected by an individual. She received a Real Maine gift bag with farmstead cookbook.
Maya Kellett & Azalea picked up a lot of litter and also found a Swiffer, which is pretty odd! They were awarded a Peak Nutrition gift certificate.
