Bedard Pharmacy & Medical Supplies, the parent company of Bedard Senior Care of Auburn, announced Monday that it is changing the name of the division to Bedard Long-Term Care Pharmacy to “more accurately reflect” the breadth of patients, communities, and healthcare partners it serves.
“The Senior Care name represented an important part of who we serve, but it did not fully describe the range of communities and patients who depend on our pharmacy,” CEO Ben Nadeau said in a statement to the media. “Bedard Long-Term Care Pharmacy is a clearer reflection of what our team does today and the people we are here to support.”
Bedard said the name change is strictly for branding, and that there is no change in ownership, leadership, employees, pharmacy operations, or existing customer and partner relationships.
Bedard Long-Term Care Pharmacy provides specialized pharmacy services designed around the medication needs of long-term care communities, their residents, caregivers, and healthcare partners. Its role extends beyond dispensing prescriptions, with a focus on making medication management more organized, dependable, and easier to navigate across different care environments.
It operates at 359 Minot Ave. in Auburn.
