DEAR SUN SPOTS: Because you mentioned GreenWood Gallery at 998 Old Danville Road, Auburn, was looking for artists and vendors for our upcoming open house on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., we have five artists and nine vendors this year.
Thank you so much for mentioning the event in Sun Spots. The artists and vendors are very excited to be part of this year’s Open House and I hope you will come visit us Saturday so I can thank you personally. Your help is much appreciated and hopefully it will be a good weather day with lots of visitors. You and your column are much appreciated. — Anita, Auburn
ANSWER: Publicizing organizations that need help with events, encouraging the arts, fundraising, community functions, answering your burning questions, sharing angel stories, matching up people, places, and things, listening and caring … it’s just what Ms. Sun Spots does, with pleasure.
I do hope your open house is awesome and I would love to be there. However, I have not one, but two grandchildren celebrating birthdays this weekend so I’ll be part of that happy throng. Please take some photos of your event and share the details on how it all goes. Knowing you just the little bit that I do, I’m sure it will be a fabulous occasion.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Please join us for the Rad Roots Harvest Celebration at Gather to Grow, 208 Bates St. in Lewiston, on Friday, Oct. 2, from 2:30-6:30 p.m. to celebrate the hard work we’ve done collectively to protect, feed and strengthen our community.
The Rad Roots Harvest Celebration will be a moment of radical connection, joy and nourishment. With healthy roots, good food, and strong connections we can weather anything.

Lewiston-Auburn, and Maine in general, have been through a lot in recent years. An antidote to this is gathering and celebrating as a community. Let’s shore up our connections to one another, send out deep roots, and continue to weather this storm together. — No name, Lewiston
