Glenn Chateauvert: Lobster ad shows Golden out of touch with Mainers
In U.S. Rep. Jared Golden’s TV ad he is at a table ripping apart a small lobster, bragging about fighting against President Biden’s out-of-touch policies. If he thinks this makes him look like a hero of the people, it only proves how out of touch he is with Maine people. I am happy that he […]

Bruce Rioux: ‘Greed pollutes lakes (and people)’
“Greed is good.” According to his 1992 Edward Little High School yearbook photo, this quotation by Ivan Boesky is Auburn Mayor Jason Levesque’s favorite. It explains a lot. Greed is defined as “intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth or power.” Auburn government released FB Environmental’s revised findings regarding development in the Lake Auburn […]

Mary Hunter: Rotundo would continue delivering ‘tangible benefits’ to Lewiston
I write in support of Peggy Rotundo for the Maine State Senate. I have known Peggy for more than 40 years, and I watched with admiration her years of work in the Legislature. Rich Lowry: Who says bipartisan cooperation is dead?
Donald Trump and Joe Biden compensate for one another’s weaknesses, and they are effectively working together to get Trump nominated — which Trump wants because it’s the first step back to the White House and Biden wants because Trump would be the riskiest GOP candidate in a general election.

I have known Ed Rabasco for over 12 years. I have worked with him on the RSU 16 School Board (Poland, Mechanic Falls and Minot). He’s a leader on our board. Other members look to him for guidance. He is committed to the education of our young people. We are lucky to have him. That […]

Emile Paul Dupuis: Golden votes for America and Maine, not for party
I was asked why I am voting for U.S. Rep. Jared Golden. I said, first, he votes for America and for the state of Maine, not the party. And we need more people like that in D.C., not “yes” men and women who do only what the party tells them to do. Also, he is […]

On page A2 of the Sept. 2 Sun Journal is an Associated Press article titled “Tech tool ‘Fog Reveal’ gives police ‘mass surveillance on a budget’.” This important article explains one of many techniques of mass surveillance — without any legal warrants issued — now taking place across America. This warrantless mass surveillance is a […]
